I stayed near RSPB Bempton Cliffs, East Yorkshire for a few days. Walking along the cliff path, there were puffins nesting very close to the edge as well as thousands of Gannets, Razorbills, Kittiwakes, Guillemots etc.
The senses are assaulted by the noise (and the smell!) as you approach.
Some of the Gannet pictures were taken from a boat trip where the crew throw in Mackerel (a practice called "chumming") which the gannets then surround the boat for and dive in just a few feet from the side of the boat. A wonderful experience.
