Glossy Ibis
The Glossy Ibis (Plegadis falcinellus) is an increasingly frequent visitor to the UK. Once considered a rare vagrant from southern Europe, changing climate patterns and warmer European winters have driven regular migratory influxes and recent occasional breeding attempts in British wetlands.
