The cattle egret (Bubulcus ibis) is a small, stocky white heron expanding its range in the UK. Similar in size to the slimmer little egret, but having yellow legs and beak, they also have a yellowish stripe on their back.

First breeding in Britain in 2008, populations are growing in southern England and Wales.
