The red-billed Chough (Pyrrhocorax pyrrhocorax) is a rare, charismatic member of the crow family characterized by glossy black plumage, a long curved red bill, and matching red legs. Fewer than 300 breeding pairs remain in the UK, restricted primarily to western sea cliffs in Wales, Scotland (Inner Hebrides), Northern Ireland, the Isle of Man, and a small returning population in Cornwall.
