The northern fulmar (Procellaria glacialis) is a gull-like seabird with grey and white plumage, a thickset neck, and tubular nostrils. Found nesting on rocky coastal cliffs and over choppy seas around the UK, they defend nests by spitting a foul-smelling oil.
