Bradgate Park, just on the northern outskirts of Leicester, is home to a significant herd of both Red and Fallow Deer. When it gets to late October, the rutting season starts and the stags start displaying and bellowing for mates.
Fallow deer stags have the flatter (palmate) antlers and the females and fauns have the white dots.
