Gannet
The northern gannet (Morus bassanus) is the largest seabird in the Northern hemisphere with a wingspan of up to 1.8 metres. Young birds have more dark plumage which decreases as they mature. The eyes have a light blue-grey iris, except for birds which survived Avian Flu where the iris turns black.
